## Installing R on ubuntu
To use RStudio or other R IDEs, or just to use base R itself, we first need to install R. This is a very basic guide for installing on Ubuntu.
Although you can install R through the Software Center, it's usually quicker to use the terminal. The process is very simple:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install r-base
